ZEROZONES is an interactive video installation that creates an immersive environment and breaks the relations with euclidian conception of space. The hexagonal architecture and streched shape of the installation develop a corridor. There are black curtains at the entrance and the exit . There are three mirror walls on each side and white sand on the floor with 5 cm depth, where 100 sculptures made with white ceramic (30 ~ 40 cm high) in form of eggs are placed. Images of a databank will be projected on four screens. Two projectors are aimed to the mirror walls and two others to the white sand.

This construction generates through the reflection parallel layers of images on the mirrors breaking the perspective, which is based on a vanishing point. This illusion of depth through parallel lines was already present in the Japanese prints. Zerozones uses this deepness at the installation’s architecture.

The interaction is present through the use of four sensors connected to the central computer. When the sensors detect the movement of the public the PC abruptly change the looping image of an ocean to videos of cities, creating non-linear projections and a horizon of events.
